MONITORING GASSES: (HCs, NOx & CO)
When gasoline and diesel burnt imperfectly, HC, NOx and CO will be formed. This emission of the chemical gases is being regulated in all range of vehicles for inspection by the local authority in order to monitor the emission through tail pipe test. Excessive levels of any one of these chemicals will cause a state inspector to fail a car and deem it to be un-road worthy.
HCs, hydrocarbons in the exhaust result from incomplete combustion. Most vehicles sold into the world in the past ten (10) years have engines that burnt at higher temperatures and tend to produce less HC pollution however subject to the maintenance condition of the vehicles and the fuel quality.
NOx is a by product of overheated combustion. This pollutant contributes a great deal to acid rain and is an irritant to sensitive human tissue. When the operating temperature of an engine decreases, it will product less NOx.
CO forms when hydrocarbons do not burnt completely. A completely burnt yield CO2 gas. STR 2020 also reduces the percentage of CO in exhaust.
An air / fuel mixing condition that occurs when too little fuel is mixed with too much air. In this oxygen – rich environment, fuel burns at elevated temperatures. Lean burning conditions often produce excessive NOx and can damage engines.
When a piston compresses a mixture of air and fuel, heat builds up in the cylinder. This heat often causes fuel to ignite before the spark plug fires. When this type of combustion occurs, it works against the spinning momentum of an engine and reduces horse power, creates heat and destructive vibrations. Additives such as lead have been used to inhibit engine knock. STR 2020 also inhibits knock by reducing the number of very fine droplets of fuel at tend to burn before the spark plug fires.

Throttle transition

Top Dead Centre
– When the piston of an engine reaches the top of its stroke it is said to be at top dead centre. This piston position happens to be the point at which the air / fuel mixture is most compressed. In most engines, depending on their RPM, the spark plug will fire a few degrees before the top dead centre in order to start the burning process before the down or power stroke. One of the great benefits of STR 2020 is its ability to control the propagation of a flame emanating for a spark plug. By reducing the number of very small droplets of fuel, STR 2020 promotes a more even burning flame, which makes ignition before top dead centre work more efficiently.

Viscous elastic will behave like a liquid when not disturbed. However, when a pipe of moved though sprayed into the air, it behaves like a highly viscous mass.

The Benefits of STR 2020 into Diesel:

It is well known that the physical properties of diesel fuel interfere with creating a uniform air / fuel mixture in the cylinder. STR 2020 unlike other fuel additives modifies the physical behavior of diesel fuel during injection creating a more uniform air / fuel mixture at ignition during burn.
Diesel fuel is a Newtonian fluid and as such has physical properties which work against preparation of a uniform air / fuel mixture.
Spraying from an injector nozzle contains a population of superfine, vapor like droplets which ignite in advance of the main body of fuel and prior to complete spray droplet penetration and mixing. The outer edge of the injector spray cone shears into smaller droplets which loose momentum and have poor penetration into the pressurized gas in the cylinder. Droplets in the centre area of the injector spray cone grow by collision and coalescence as they contact the slower moving droplets at the leading edge of the spray.
Droplets which reach the cylinder walls splatter and coat creating a cooled liquid film. The formation of droplets by sending a high velocity stream on liquid into an air filled space.

When mixes with STR 2020 with Gasoline:
STR 2020, a major step forward in combustion technology, dramatically improves the uniformity of the air / fuel mixture in internal combustion engines. It is the first fuel additive being formulated after spending more than 12 years in research by using an Environmental Friendly product that is abundantly found in the region of Malaysia the “Palm Oil” that makes use of extensional viscosity, a property of transient viscosity.
Excluding detergents, the pre and post market additives used in fuels today, derive most of their effectiveness by either inhibiting or catalyzing chemical reactions. These additives affect the chemistry of combustion, while STR 2020 operating on a macro level, effects only droplet formation.
The active ingredient of STR 2020, a long chain player polymer, resists rapid stretching. When STR 2020 is mixed with fuel, the polymer imparts a subtle form of stretch resistance on its host fluid. This resistance or extensional viscosity traps light particles of fuel (those under 40 micros) to larger droplets. At the same time, this same property reduces the size of larger droplets. STR 2020 narrows down the range of droplet size which fosters the formation of a more homogeneous mixture that will burn more efficiently and thus create less pollutant.
STR 2020 also reduces combustion chamber wall wetting. Droplets of treated fuel behave like small elastic balls because the active ingredient of STR 2020 resists the stretching forces of collision. This property alone reduces the inefficient burning of fuel adhered to cylinder walls.
